some ideas....

so some of you may know of the 3.4 i built a few months back to have it blow up on me....ive been stuck with a toyota camry for the time being. now that im settled into school and a good job, ive though of upgrading to a 350 f body and was dedicated to the idea, but now, i kinda want to find another v6 5 speed 3rd gen and rebuild the 3.4 again with ross pisons and and file and polish the stock rods and stick the comp cams #Duration (Intake/Exhaust): 226°/236° @ .050"
#Valve Lift (w/1.5 Rocker): .463"/.474" Lobe Sep. Angle: 112° and play with my heads some more and do a custom upper plenum for a nice size shot of NITROUS! i got time to build this motor good as i have another car to drive so i dont have to rush... what do ya think? i have my firebird to pick from so it shouldnt cost all that much, prolly under 2k after the price of the car.

To what do you atribute the demise of your 3.4 ? The reason I ask is because once I got a block back from the machine shop that they had bored .030 for forged pistons but forgot to hone for the piston to cyl. wall clearance, caught it in my pre assy. check.

Out of curiosity, why not just build another 3.4 and throw it into your current car? 350 is nice, but I would get that AND keep this red one and throw another 3.4 into it......buuuttt I can never let a 3rd gen go lol

BTW, I too am curious as to why your 3.4 went bad.

the motor had about 57k on it before a fresh rebuild with NEW EVERYTHING! i had check the main bore and it was straight, had a machine shop check the cam bore and put the cam bearings in and hone the cylinders, the block was in 100% great shape when i rebuilt it.
