Short drift vid

Let me know if this link works okay. I've just created my first video using my computer!

Its just me screwing around a cul-de-sac. The batteries in the camera died so thats why its so short. I'll make a longer video later!

sheesh... you don't mean it.

After the camera died (I didn't realize it died), I did two more passes full lock on the wheel. Way fun. You just wait till I get a chase car to come with!

you have good control in the car. You should see if you can get a freind to lend you a second camera, and record ur foot work and steering too, then sync the two vids.

LSD for the win. The main difference in the way my GTA slies as aposed to my six (besides the 100 extra HP) is the LSD. it may take more power to break the tires loose with limited slip (or more drivetrain shock) but once they go control is maintained with far less effort then an open rear car. Perhaps I lack skill, but my open rear car has a tendancy to get snap oversteer when you let off the gas, the GTA tends to snap right back to a straight line with little problems of going the other way. all this "Experiance" has been on wet pavement as I am a wuss, and am afraid to hurt my babbies....

BTW.. funiest thing ever... me trying to drift in my GTA back when I had an auto trans....

auto trans? I have an auto trans! And all these vids are done in second gear. I do it on dry pavement too, but I hate to rip through my tires.

I'll post the new vids up when I get home today. Good times. I got it going cw and ccw with a better camera.

Sorry, I'll do better next time pletch.

I can drift all over, but like the vid says, cul-de-sac. There isn't a whole lot of room to do figure eights in such a small space (4 car lengths wide).

I know

Hey i was just kinda fooling, i understand it was in a cul-da-sack, it was a neat video though, and i've been drifting for years, and what you managed in a culdasack with a rear wheel drive, under those conditions, i give 7.9.

Just know, more speed more tires

lol, noted. The next vids are going to be fun. I have a couple of roads in town that are really fun long sweepers. I can only really do it when it rains though. Its an automatic but with the 4.11's and the tires I have, I can throttle over fairly easy when its wet.

What do you drift around in?

Dont Laught

When i was stationed in conneticut i built up a 95 buick regal, it was gold in color so i looked like a grandpa, but the motor kicked ***, i bored, port and polished, flowmaster exhaust, just to start, since i left, i sold that car though and havent been out as much, all ive owned is trucks since then. I just bought my camero though and soon it will be on the road. I am also restoring an 84 Mustang the 20th aniv. GT350, it has a 302HO with a 5 on the floor so when that hits the street ill need new tires soon

Only one way? Craziness. I prefer to slide CCW (to the left, to the left). The Auburn LSD is lame and wont let me slide to the right if I have a rolling start, sometimes. So in the cul-de-sace I power brake to get things going, then I slide. Other than that it just takes a little jerk of the wheel and off I go. I like the torsen in my other car a lot more though.

Funny thing, if you watch the video, my last pass through you can see a cop car drive past. You can barely see the roof over the top of the dirt pile.

Re: Short drift vid

I have some more vids up. My first event at Monroe speedway with me hitting the wall and the my second event (i think it was event 5) with me doing fairly well. The two runs I posted were the best that were caught on video.

Re: Short drift vid

It helps if you turn to the left. Also, don't start spinning from a standstill, get the car rolling first.
