Normal readings for fuel pressure...

I was wanting for a long time to test my fuel pressure. I got a gauge and hooked up per instructions. I turned the key to the "ON" position and the gauge read 44 psi. I let the gauge sit for about 10 minutes and checked it again. Once again, it still held at 44 psi. I started the car,it dropped to about 40 and stayed. Turned car off and relieved the fuel pressure. Turned key to "ON" once more and it held at 44 psi. Doe the system seem ok?
I got the gauge to also help when I want to put it new injectors or anything else I have to do when it comes to the fuel system.

I know the 2.8 says between 40-47. Most other types of MPFI need around 38psi. Don't know for sure on 3.1 but yours should be perfect.
