Oil Filter Relocation Question

I was thinking of relocating the oil filter on the 3.4 like it is on my Blazer 4.3. The question arised when I noticed on the truck its leaking where the hoses run to the block. Now if I did this to the camaro and it starts to leak do they sell a seal replacement for that? If not I don't think it would be worth the hassle.

Thanks in advanced!

Thats why I was thinking about it b/c of the oil cooling option. That seemed like an option that could help engine performance a little. Seemed like a good idea but like you said I may as well leave well enough alone.

I've got an oil cooler on my 84, and I thought about relocating the filter. In the end I didn't, mostly because I couldn't think of anywhere convenient to mount it in a vertical position. Mounting it any other way would be messy, like pletch's truck.

Leave it alone.

If you do it right, so that it will not leak, it will cost a small fortune.

By right I mean steel braded hose and an fittings. The cheapest block relo adapter that I found to be worth a damn is the billet moroso piece. $50,

You will also need
4 1/2 in pipe to 10 an adapter at $10 each
2 90 deg an 10 ful flo hose ends $25 each
2 120 deg AN 10 full flow hose ends at $25 each
1 Quality remote filter housing that want leak $50 at least
15 feet of an 10 hose at ? / foot
Pain and suffering $200

A stock system that works and came with a GM warranty Priceless.
If you needed a remote filter GM would have provide one.

The only reason that I did it was for header clearence.
