needing to do a intake manifold once and for all

man so many things have been keeping me from doing this darn intake manifold gasket on my 91 3.1, camaro, but i think next weekend im start it, hopefully ill be able to dothis in a day, but its leaking bad now.,,. i went out to del taco last nits and the oil smoking off the ex pipe was extreamly imbarrasing,
I think another thing that keeps me from doing it is somthing i remember someone here saying about the dizzy,. it needs to come out or sumthing,, and thats the point i dout myself dont wanna fug it up,,
so perhaps im just wanting to hear some positive feedback to get me motivated to do it,,,,,,,,,,lol

Besides getting the intake gasket set. Plan on replacing the O-rings for the injectors...maybe tough to find, but after you button it all together and the injectors leak...

I assume oil is leaking onto the manifolds? If so, thats possibly your valve covers, and the part of the intake that requires removing the dizzy doesnt need to be messed with.

Now if your leaking from around the valley of the intake, then yes your dizzy needs to come out.

Now you may be leaking from around the dizzy(commen leak).

Injector orings as mvf said will need to be replaced and doesnt come in the kit. If they dont list them for your car, ask for injector orings for a same year TPI v8 camaro, or a 5.0 ford SFI engine. All same injector design there.

If you have to pull the dizzy, the kit does not come with either of the dizzy gaskets, and them need replaced too. These are the same as a SBC dizzy.

pulling the dizzy is cake. just take a photo of it before you remove it, so you know exactly which way it is pointing. when you put it back in make sure thats the way it points.

Gotta mark 2 places. Rotor button to base, base to hold-down clamp.
