Vacuum question

Vacuum question

Can i use a vacuum guage to prove i have no vacuum leaks.
I have searched and have found no exact steps.
Any help greatly appreciated !!!

technically yes, but it's not very acurrate.

You should have about 18" of vacuum with an idle at about 750 RPM. if both are true, then I would assume no vacuum leaks.

The best way to tell though is to spray carb cleaner everywhere that might leak, if the idle goes up, then you have one.

passing over the lines with a propane bottle works too, if theres a leak, the propane will make the RPMs go up
