I agree with the 15's, but who knows until you get there . Dave thinks I will get in the low 14's with the turbo, but I am not expecting that good of results.

Re: 1/4 mile times

both of u should go into the 14's 125shot is pretty big all in its own,but ur also adding in the ported heads, cam and ex.

actually i shouldnt say 14's it really does depend on when u start to spray the nitrous, if u spray that thing out of the hole u shoudl go faster then firstfirebird, but if u dont spray till further down track it will slow the car up a bit, hoep u got some really good tires and a posi

Re: 1/4 mile times

You can not succesfully go true duals on such a small displacement motor and the long exhaust routing we have. There have been several people that have tried this over the years on this board and every one of them experienced the same result. What happens is only 3 banks of a 3l motor is just not sufficiant to keep the exhaust gasses hot all the way back to the tailpipe. you are pushing 1.5L of engine bank and it is cooling and getting flow restrictions. Keep 6 into one.
Also, there is no mention or asking from anyone if this car is a stick or auto? How can you make a prediction not knowing this key info as to what drivetrain and its condition. A stock slush box isn't going to get you any higher than mid to high 15's on that build combo.
Then the question of reliabiliuty comes in real quick- you may be lucky to get one run in.

Re: 1/4 mile times

true about the exhaust, but it sounds real mean and i like it allot and would sacrifice performance for the good sound.
its an automatic and i forgot i have a transgo shift kit, but its not installed yet but will be before it goes on the road.
and like i said right now rear end is stock now with the stock gears, but i have a 88 z28 posi rear going in it this summer with 3.73 gears.

LOL you have a shift kit but its not in the car. I love that its like what a ***** would tell you as an excuse why they lost. Thats like saying you have a procharger but all you have is the sticker on the car.

yeah i bought it, but i haven't installed it yet. but like i said before it will be in the car before i take it out. i originally had a b&m shift kit, but was talked into returning it to buy a better one, thats why its not installed yet.

Re: 1/4 mile times

a spun bearing... well im expecting the worst at this point. but it broke down after i had it tunned and running really good. as for the nitrous i never used it but i will tell you that it was a ton faster with them heads and cam then it was stock. i bet i could have ran a high 15 with a better rear and shift kit.

YEP, just the 2.8 has flat pistons and the 3.1 has a 12cc dish . (ohy yeah, the 3.4 heads are identical also, hence the 1st gen 60*).
