Vacuum hose leak??

Hey guys/girls, I'm pretty new here. I just got myself an 83 2.8 V6 Camaro about 2 weeks ago. I was wondering after a few minutes of running maybe about 5 the idle dips and comes up from 1500-500 every 1-2 seconds. Now when I step on the gas pretty well the car sputters and sometimes just shuts right off. My father and I both think it's a vacuum leak? I just wanted everyones expert opinions

Re: Vacuum hose leak??

It sounds like a vacuum leak problem, but the carb'd cars were less likely to idle up and down that much than the EFI cars. Sounds like it's time to break out the carb cleaner and spray all the vacuum areas to see what you can find. Don't forget to spray around the brake booster.
