Varajet Carb Question, Did I mess Up?
Varajet Carb Question, Did I mess Up?
I'm changing all the EFI/Computer stuff on a 91 3.1 to carb and old style distributor. I bought a distributor and coil from a 82 S-10 at the pick-a-part. No problem there. I got a Varajet and matching Edelbrock top from a guy that converted to a Holley 390. I have an Edelbrock intake lower on the way from Summit. My plan it to use the Varajet until I can afford to go with a Holley.
I'm a little concerned that I may have a computer controlled carb. Its from a 85 S-10, and it has a couple of wires and a plug coming from the base. Is this a preheat wire or did I buy too late a model carb?

why in the world are you going to old tech? Just curious as to the reasoning.
Anything in the mid to late 80's is computer controlled I think. Is there a connector at the top?
