I need to know exactly the issue with them and what exactly needs to be done so I can tell the shop I'm having do the work what they need to do. I know why they wont work with it, but not the exact reasons. Thanks in advance.

Well, speaking from a 2.8 view, the o2 sensor is further down on the pipe so you might have to extend the o2 cable down some.

egr should bolt up. look at your stock manifolds and see if there's and A.I.R. tubes going to them. If so, those will need to be plumbed into the headers, also. I don't know where you're located...if they check the carb number on the tag on the headers...they won't show up as legal on a 3.1. If they don't check that number, just plumb in anything that is currently plumbed into the exhaust and you'll be good.

You need pacesetter to put up the money to get the State of California to approve them. Until that point, they'll never be legal for the 3.1, BUT speaking as a tech, most guys are too lazy to check as long as the E.O. Number is visible.

No, just to pass the sniffer test. That's all I want. Plus, I don't want half of my A.I.R. system just dangling around in my engine bay. I'd like to keep it functional.
