are you asking if there was a rare 2.9L engine? no, no there was not. 3rd gen fbodys came with the following:
2.5L (Iron Duke 4cyl)
2.8L
3.1L
3.8L (TTAs only. Buick Block)
5.0L
5.7L


as for the auction, it could be a typo or the guy might not even know. i don't want to think about all the erroneous things i thought when i first got into cars :shudder:

 

Maybe it has a rebuilt 2.8 that was bored and now has oversized pistons. Unless I missed it he never says that it came that way from the factory.

 

i highly doubt that, and there is no way he is getting $5,000 for that.

Extremely rare engine, $5000.00 IS AN ABSOLUTE STEAL!!!! Titanium block, factory roller valvetrain. Heck, if I didn't have five cars literally surrounding my house, I'd buy it in a freaking heartbeat...!!!!

lmao titanium block. I don't see anything rare about that car at all either when i got my car the guy said something about it was rare but it's just a 2.8 5 speed now a 3.4 with a posi rear end but most of them already have all that.
