Car: 1991 firebird
Engine: 3.1l
Transmission: 700r4 ?
Axle/Gears: stock 343s?
allright if anyone can help out .. performance problem
allright this one stumped me so if theres anyone out there that can help try this one ... i let my car run down on gas and the car started boggin meaning i could only drive the car without touching the gas everytime i would try to give it a little gas the car would studder and the rpms would drop down to almost nothing i had gotten gas and the car still does the same problem i ran a scanner on the car and nothing popped up i replaced the fuel filter did spark plugs and wires ... nothing changed i replaced the o2 sensor and nothing ..... can anyone help me out with this ??

well maby check the cap and rotor in the dizzy.,also timing maby somthing in that are,. oh yeah and perhaps the fuel pump in the tank,.,..,.,,.,.
also air leaks around the intake will cause this as well

i had that happen once before. it turned out that it was my ignition control module. it idled fine, but giving it gas and it would fall on its face. it wasnt allowing the spark to advance. you may have that going bad on you. id suspect that before the ECM.

i checked cap and rotor and everything is good the timing i thought it was that also but my guy said the timing is good .... as far as the fuel pump i was reading 5 lbs of pressure but that i realized i had no gas once again so after i put gas in it was reading 45 46 lbs i think it could possibly be bad injectors ? but i will deffinitly take a look at some stuff one of my friends had told me there could be more air than fuel and that could be causing this
