89 rs help

i ran the trouble codes and came up with 34 which is the vacuum sensor circuit. does anyone know where to find the sensor? i have checked the wires going to the ecm and everything seems to be fine.

you can check your vaccum canister in the front of the eninge and make sure that the plugs going to them are nice and tight.

34. Low voltage (high vacuum) at mass air flow sensor (or MAP sensor)

ur maf sensor is prolly bad
since ur car is an 89 u have a maf sensor not a map sensor,its the big plastic round thing in the air intake infront of the throttle body.

would that cause the idol to be up and down when you let off the gas while going down the road? if so i will get back to you about the maf sensor to let u know if it wrks.

yes a bad maf can cause iratic idle.go get a new one but do not turn in ur old one as a core until u are sure the new one fixes the probloem.

reason being is if u turn in ur old one and the new one does not fix it,u cannot return it cause they wont give u back ur old on.

i have a new problem. i have gone through 3 ignigtion moudles in the last prob 4 months. can someone tell me where the problem may lay? do i need a new distributar or some part of it? please let me know. as far as the other thing i haven't gotten to it yet, hopefully next weekend but first need to find out why i am going through so many of those things.
