first "real" test drive in the camaro

finall got the dragster out for its first official test run. its got a def bog issue, it has no ***** what so ever. its got 40 psi all the time, for some reason after market gauge wasnt working right(im hopping) becasu for the first 10mins it was only at 75-90* the hottest it got to was 150*(but i have no t-stat). the headers had a real bad leak at the ypipe, so i took it to the shop and put it on the lift and fixed that, sounds a little better but still has a poping noise. i hear a ticking in the engine but its to fast for a lifter or rocker tap. the timing wasnt to good, but then got worse as the test drive went on, then when i got home i noticed the hold down bolt had wiggled lose. fixed that, so far no oil water mix. but when i looked at the coolant(only water) it was brown!!! it didnt look oily though. and the top of the cap had a ton of dirt on it, so i think it might have just stired some stuff up. overall it was fun, but i got to figure out why its so gutless.

yeah the injectors are bigger hang let me check cant rember if it was 19 or 17. and the cam was straight up. its idle is insane with that cam, it goes up to 1,100 and back to 800.

Edit: they are brand new 19lb injectors from an 04 mustang gt.

04 that should be a diff style injector i belive.
get the timming dialed in and see how it runs,if it still runs liek crap check for an arcing plug wire,if it still has no ***** id swap back in the stock injectors and see what it does

btw whats the vacum reading at idle?

Re: first "real" test drive in the camaro

haha yeah i cant find them injectors to save my life. i was just gonna get it tunned with them in them switch over to the bigger ones. but the injectors look exactly the same as the old ones same size and everything. they might not be from an 04 maybe older. but as for vaccum havent checked that yet.

btw what size stall should i get i want it to be streetable so i was think of 2400-2800.

yeah thats just about right id go 2,500-3k

if they look identical then they arent 04's, deff check the vacum/set the timming and dbl check that all the rockers are adjusted right
