Replacing the EGR valve...

I'm having some trouble with knowing which one to buy. If someone wouldn't mind going on AdvanceAutoParts.com and getting an idea of what I'm looking at...

http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductL...hFor=EGR+Valve

Some say they are for an automatic transmission only. I don't understand why that would make a difference in how the EGR valve works. Something to do with a constant vacuum maybe? Just my guess.

Which of those would be allright for me to buy and would fit my car? They all look like they have the same sized base.

Maybe I should just take off the old one and take it up to AdvanceAutoParts and just compare.

The best thin gto do is look at the old one, looking from the top you should be able to see the original P/N (you might have to clean it a little to see it better) then use that to get the right one for your car. I believe they physically the same outside but a little different in the internal porting. Not sure about that.

Thanks.

I still don't get why having an automatic would change how the EGR valve works. Oh well, guess it doesn't really matter.
