Having trouble getting a voltage reading on my TPS

Anybody have any tips on how to read the TPS voltage? I can't seem to fit anything in the back of the plug, and I've tried wedging a skinny piece of solder between the connectors but I can't get an accurate read. All I can get is 0.040v which isn't even close to what I should be getting.

And just to make sure I'm doing everything right: I'm running the multimeter between ground and the top connector on the TPS, right? The middle and bottom give me ~5v.

I believe the top two are the right ones. I know that I'm not supposed to but my voltmeter's sensors have a point on them so I just penetrated the wiring insulation to read it that way, then I just put electrical tape over where the small holes are. You can also just add short lengths of wire between the TPS and the TPS connector to get a reading. I tried it that way, it's possible bit it was just cumbersome for me.

I finally got it adjusted right. Turns out it was the middle wire and not the top one. It's running better but still not right. I think I'm down to just vacuum leaks, and possibly a bad IAC, now.
