what does this mean, fan relay

I grounded the green and white wire for the fan relay and the fans came on. Does this mean the relay is good or bad? I bought a new one just in case.
Also, what is the relay next to the fender, on the firewall? That relay also has two green/white wires and I tried grounding them and nothing happened. Thank goodness because that was the wrong relay.

I had read in an earlier post that there would only be one relay with a green and white wire. Someone was wrong.

That was probably me.

Anyways, if the fans turned on, your relay is good.

The fan swith or wiring is probably bad at this point.

Re: what does this mean, fan relay

get a toggle switch until you fix this, or run a wire from one of the lines that turn on power when your key turns.

I've wired a toggle switch from the green and white wire and they come on when I flip the switch. Where is the fan switch? I haven't replaced the temp switch on the intake yet either.
