Oil Pressure

This seems to be a common issue here...

Oil Pressure gauge reads nice and high cold, by operating temp its almost at zero. Engine doesn't sound like its starved for oil when it sits at idle like this, in fact is sat and idled for 30min plus before at operating temp reading EXTREMELY low on the oil pressure gauge, but seems just fine? get decent pressure displayed while driving, about 40psi most of the time it seems.

Another case of poor oil sending unit? All my gauges are "twitchy" the gas gauge swings willynilly, the temp gauge twitches some time to time. The car sat 15 years under cover in storage before I got it, I just have been attributing it to that. When I pulled the car into daylight for the first time the oil pressure gauge had been sitting at about 60psi...

I'd like a little input on this Also, it'll be on the road by this weekend for the first time in over 15 years I hope, gotta go pass smog, between the alternator, fuel pump, MEGA OLD tires, tranny cable busting and general oddities, I hope I don't need to dump more cash into it!
