Transmission: 5speed
Axle/Gears: 3.42
V6 Rearend ?
i just bought a 1992 3.1 firebird and im wondering if it has a posi-track, or another type of limited slip rear differential?
anyone know?

Easy way to tell is to lift the rear of the car off the ground and spin the tires. if they spin in the same direction then you have posi, if they go opposite of each other then you have an open diff. Mine doesn't but I'm not sure if any V6s came with posi from the factory.

You did get the 28 spline axle shafts, and that can be just as hard to get as posi!
There's a nice zexel torsen unit for sale in the classifieds from a 4th gen. Buy that and it will cure your problem.
You probably don't have limited slip...
