3100 top end pics

Snaged a 3100 top end to P&P, and started on it this week. It's a 2000 big port top end (same as 3400's after 2000).

Here it is after glass beading (LIM not quite finished)...

Here's the start of the porting on the LIM to the large rubber/metal FelPro gaskets...

Entire runner is smoothed out...

What kind of tool do you use to get deep down in the runners? I've got a dremel with a flex shaft, but maybe you have a better method?

I make a tool for it. It's a 1/4" shank extension for the die grinder.

Sorry, but we are thinking of marketing it, hopefully you will be able to purchase one soon,

-but you can get similar results by cutting a slot in the end of a wooden dowel and wrapping a strip of sandpaper around it. Then you can use a high speed drill motor (or air drill) to rotate it. Essentially you are making a sanding roll. I can post a pic of one of those if you like, have to take one tomorrow.

That's fine. I think I understand what you mean. I'll have to see what I can do about making one. If you guys get around to selling them, I think I may buy one too.
