3.1 Performance and styling help.

To start this off since i got my license i wanted a camaro so when i turned 18 i used what little money i had to buy a '92 Rs. with a 3.1 well since ive had the car i've had trouble keeping up with other cars or comparing to some styling people have added to their 3rd gens. so. i wanted some tips on what i could do get more out of the motor its self and give the car some styling on the outside heres a link to myspace so you can see my car.

rebuilt it for boost, or replace it for a 3.4 (rebuilt for boost) boost is the easiest way to make these engines fast. if you dont want boost, a rebuild wouldnt hurt no matter what, swap cams, port and polish, 1.6 rockers, headers, slightly larger exhaust (2.5iirc is the standard upgrade)

I've been trying to get my 85 bird running for 2 years. Remember from the factory your engine is IIRC 140HP and 180TQ (will double check that, seems off..) style wise your on your own.

Do what he said. That covers most of the basics. 3.4 swap with a cam. NO2 is actually the cheapest and fastest way to make power but at the risk of blowing up the motor.

For appearance go look into the appearance sections of the site for good ideas.

its the quickest way to find stuff about "going faster". theres been a couple of other posts like that already this week.
