please help me!
Hey guys I know this might be a stupid question, but I just bought some rims 15x18 5X4.75, the ones that fit our cars, what I want to know now is how are the other numbers going to look, or what am I looking for when I search for tires, for example (P 245 / 60R15, Radial) what in the world does that mean? Can I put this tire with my rims or what does each number represent? Well I know what the 245 mean, but the rest I'm not sure, thanks guys.

245 = with of the tire ( how much meat is on the ground)
60 = the height of the tire (from the lip of the tire to the start of the tread)
15 = the size rim it goes on

Re: please help me!
Let me ammend that just a little...
245 = width of the tire in millimeters (in this case it is 245 millimeters)
60 = aspect ratio; this means that the height is 60% of the width from the rim to the tread (in this case it would be 147 mm tall from the rim to the tread / sidewall height)
R = radial tire
15 = size of the rim diameter in inches (15 inch wheel)
Why would you buy a 15x18 wheel? Did you mean 15 x 8?
