Brand new paint, no rust at all, cragar ss wheels, dual snorkel K&N filters, headers, dynomax exhaust, t-tops, new weather stripping around windows, new carpet, 97 transam seats, blacked out taillights. new headliner. its got 145 k miles. The under side and inside floor panels have been sealed with Por 15.

Mods usually aren't considered in resale. You're best bet is to put the stock stuff on and sell the mods.

At best, I'd only give $1500, but it'd have to be in daggum good shape.

It's a nice car, but what you have to take in to consideration is;
Why would someone pay 3000$ for a 3.1 V6 Camaro, when some one down the street has an Iroc-Z for sale for 2500$? There's so many of these cars out there, that some one actually has the ability to price shop when looking for one. Maybe in 10-20 years there will be fewer, kind of like '69 Camaro's, and 67-68 Mustang Fastbacks.

As everyone will agree, cars are a terrible investment. You will never get back what you put into it. Unless it's something *really* special, like a '69 Yenko, your car is going to be priced as "just another car", regardless of whether or not the shopper is a thirdgen fanatic.

Better off keeping it. I was going to sell mine and buy something more reliable, but after adding up what I've actually got in to it, it's better off keeping it, even if I have another car.

Best place to check is kbb.com
Upgrades/restoration aren't considered when selling anything less than a collectors item.
We are temporarily storing a 1969 Mustange Boss 429 at our shop. The owner is trying to get it into Barret-Jackson for auction. He seriously thinks he's gonna get >$200K for it. The body has been restored, but there's been nothing done to a 70K mile chassis. Leaks EVERYWHERE! The tires are rubbing the inner fenders on turns because the suspension bushings are all work out. THe speedo doesn't work...
It's not in bad shape, but there's gonna have to be a lot of mechanical restoration done for it to really be drivable. He'll probably get just over $100K for it.

Re: How much do you think it would be worth?
lol come to wyoming here you can sell your V6 for 4k, about a month ago someone sold an '87 IROC with around 100k miles for 7k, A 1995 B4C Camaro with 50k sold for same price. I've been offer 4k for my V6 if i get it painted. stupid people these days. Not a matter how much its worth is, its pretty much if you can find an idiot willing to pay 3k for your car

Re: How much do you think it would be worth?
Heres my input on this. I had a guy look at my car who is an appraiser. Been a coworker/appraiser w/ my Grandpa (RIP) in car sales for 25+ years so id trust him. He "unofficially" appraised my car (meaning all he did was look at the exterior and peek in the interior, and didnt ask too much about it) but he gave me a ballpark of $4k to $5k. you can see mine on my cardomain site. i dont know how much more it would go up if he knew all the work i had done, but if you have a genuinely clean body and interior, theres a good ball park. just my input on this subject though.
