i have a 91 camaro with a 3.1 that i just purchased... im having a problem with the idle on the car... at stop lights it seems to stumble and drop pretty low almost like it wants to die... and at times when i go to take off it hesitates at the beginning but after that it is fine... just did a tune up on it thinking that was it but it only helped out a bit... any ideas on what it could be?

 

You need to read the thread.."Ditch your stock Injectors" your having the common complaint from V6 owners.

 

could be a vac leak somewhere

 

thanks for the info guys... im checking out the info on the injectors and it sounds like what i got but i was also looking around the back at the vac lines and it looks like the person i bought it from used electrical tape at one of the t's and they look pretty worn out to so ill try that first before changing out the injectors... thanks

 

I've got a little bit of a different problem, maybe you guys have some advice on... 3.1L v6, 5SPD.

It starts up, sometimes will idle about 500rpm's high, and it will randomly JUMP to about 2500rpm.... It just high idles, i reset the battery thinking maybe one of the censors went oddballed or something, any ideas what could be causing this idle issue? If you know please reply asap.. as im trying to get it fixed as i type this haha.

 

I think you will need to check some things first and then post them cause we will need some more info,to give you some of our ideas/feedback.For example check codes(engine light on?)fuel pressure,and charging system.
