need some power out of a 3.1L
need some power out of a 3.1L
Just got my first car which just happens to be a '92 3.1L firebird. Woulda preferred the 305 but with gas prices and what not, i'll take it. Now im just looking for a way to get a little more power out of it w/o blowin the budget to smitherines. Any insight you have would be helpful... If i had the money i'd say screw it and drop a 350 in it and call it a day but thats not the case. If you could help with companies, part #'s, possible hp gains, anything really. The help is appreciated.
Thanks,
James

Search........
It's the best advice you'll ever get here!
Especially search for the 3.4 swap. That's the logical place to start. Then, exhaust, fwd top end, turbo......

first thing i would do is better exhaust (dynomax supertorbo, pacesetter headers) then the intake (Cold Air Intake(home made), bigger TB and intake manifold) that would be a good start.
