headers and emissions?

I've been thinking about putting pacesetter headers in my 3.1, most likely also with a hi-flow cat and a 2 1/2 cat back. However I am concerned if this setup could pass New York state emissions. Does anyone know if it would ?? If not what would you suggest as the best emissions legal setup?

Re: headers and emissions?

The headers are emissions legal I believe but since you have a 3.1 then you would have to remove your smog pump which would hurt emissions. Unless there is a way to make the smog pump work then you can't have headers in an emissions state. The highflow cat and cat-back should not hurt emissions.

Re: headers and emissions?

you can keep your smog pump. Just need to cut the hoses off the back and as along as they just look to make sure its there, you'll be fine.
