mid rev 2-3k stumble. starting points please
hey, havnt driven her for a few weeks but the sun was out this morning - first time in ages!!! so i fired her up, whipped the roof off and cruised to work at a steady 55. nice. she may not have perfect paint, may not be tiptop but all was forgotten just cruising along ;-)
then it rained and i started thinking of all the things i need to do !!! lol
anyhows, ive got a stumble most noticeable accelerating half throttle at 2-3k, also seems worse out of corners which makes me think fuel related??? its like it takes off then someone dabs the brakes then it clears and gets going. car idles 'OK' and revs round not missing. does pop and bang a little when i back off but running cherry bomb so expect that! any thoughts much appreciated cheers guys. ill check fuel pressure real soon.

i dont remember it when i got the car last year, i think its crept in. sometimes its really subtle but then sometimes i notice it quite bad, its consistent now.

The power curve's pretty flat up to about 2700rpm, then it wakes up. For some reason it gets exaggerated at about 1/2 throttle- I think GM didn't give it enough fuel there. It sounds like you have a fuel-related issue that's exaggerating it even more. When was the last time you replaced the fuel filter?

hi, yeah the engine never wakes up untill 3 odd k so thats interesting what you say. i havnt had the car that long, i was guna rip the fuel filter off today and have a look, im running injector/fuel system cleaner at the mo to try and clean the engine out a bit - its worked on previous cars.
