Lost my oil plug.......and my marbles

So i bought this 1986 bitchin' camaro a couple of weeks ago....and took i t to get the oil changed.(yes i can do it myself, but i wanted to see what problems were under the car........plus its practically the same price to get them to do it!!) I was informed that i needed a good bit of front end work, and that my oil plug was only a temporary plug, what the mechanic referred to as a "kelly plug", although i can find no information on such a thing. I have an 85 camaro that doesnt run that intend on using for parts. Since they JUST changed my oil i decided to see how long this plug lasted and when it gave out, or was time for another oil change i would replace it with a proper plug. Of course the first time i went over a hump in the pavement of my friends driveway, it ripped out the plug. so i instantly stopped, replaced it and filled the engine with oil. when i started the car the engine sounded different (more high pitched) seemed to have less power, and the dashboard was vibrating visibly....which had never happened before (basically just seeming not to run nearly as good as before). I drove a few miles home and while nothing seemed to get worse....the car definately had a funny "burnt" smell, even tho it has always had a bit of a gassy/oilish smell. I know this was a long post, but i wanted to give as many details as possible, so maybe i could get an idea of what else i may have screwed up, or what may be the problem.......any ideas are greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!

so it ripped the plug out?...if you ripped the plug out i'd be looking at the oilpan to see if its dented and poss. hitting the crank...anythings possible but i'd be looking at the pan first

No, it wasn't like that at all. The mechanic told me that whatever the guy had shoved into the oilpan could fall out at ANY time. But since he had just drained my oil and didnt have a replacement plug for it, there wasnt much choice other than fill it up, and then fix it when i changed my oil, or when it fell out, which ever came first. I seriously barely scraped this hump in the driveway.....nothing else i can see seems to be damaged.

I would have told the mechanic he better find the f***ing right plug and i would be back tomorrow so it better be ready. How long did it the car run with the oil pouring out? was the car hot then the plug came out?
