Help with timming.

Hey I have just got my motor back in the car. I lined the crank spocket dot up with the cam spocket dot. I then put the rest to TDC but in found out i need to be at 10BTD. What will I need to do to fix this. Will I need to mess with the timming chain or just with the Dizzy and wires fix it. THanks for the hlep and time

Re: Help with timming.

Keep going. The two dots are for cam timing. Once that set, it'll never change until your chain stretches/slips a tooth. The 10* is for ignition timing, which is set by turning the distributor.
