stupid crank pulley.....
This is probably something really easy, but I'm not seeing it after a few too many beers.
When trying to take off the crank pulley, how do you keep it from rotating the crank? 5 bolts to undo, but all I'm doing is spinning the engine.

Use a prybar or screwdriver to hold the crank pulley. Use either in the teeth of the starter gear, or through the balancer, against the bottom of the oil pan rail on the block.
