does anybody have 3.73 gears on there v6?and how do you like it? because im switching to posi and i just orderd 3.73 gears from summit.

 

I put 3.73 in my 92 v6 and didn't like them, 1st gear was to low and I believe the car was even slower I'm fixing to try 3.23's in mine, starting in 1993 the 3.4 5 speed's has 3.23's.

 

i went 4.10's all motor a long time ago i loved it, car got better gas milage around town,though highway mileage suffered a tiny bit.im sure 3.73's would be just fine.going from a 3.42 to a 3.73 gear u will see 300 rpm difference while crusing

 

I am not sure what gear ratio I have... but i know its really tall.
Is there somewhere to look on the car?
If any of you guys want to guess...
At 100 mph Im just at 3000 rpm in overdrive

 

The V6s came with 3.42s.

 

not all came with 3.42's some got 3.23's i belive those were the 3/1 auto cars?

 

up to 93 the auto came with 3.23 5speed with 3.42

 

90 and up v6 autos have 3.23s

 

yes actually up to the 96 3800's and they had 3.08. auto's that is.

 

If i have 3.73 explain 100mph at 3000rpm
that means the car could do over 200mph if it had the power

 

err, i mean if i had 3.42
