hey guys new to the v6 in a fbody iv always gone for displacmen,t but i came across a 92 3.1 camaro at a great price and thought wow great car. but no power!! can you take ta supercharger and heads off a newer car like a buick fwd 3.8 and put them on a 4th gen 3.8 and make a awsome beast or is this a stupid idea? and what would be involved with this. are the motor mounts the same? i have obtained a 4th gen dash and gauge cluster and wiring/computer from a previouse project. any help and advise is welcome thanks.

Re: help with a 3.8 swap
There are a couple of guys who have put a SC in their 4th gens. There is alot of custom fab work especially to the SC itself. You have to machne off the end to make a new plenum for the TB since it would be in the firewall if not modified. Its a pretty difficult swap. Go onto www.fullthrottlev6.com for some of the best info on the internet for the 3.8s and 4th gens. That is where all of the information for the SC swap is also. I'm sure anyone there can answer your questons better than us here.

Better over there than here for the 3.8s, much more info there. Not to mention you would have alot of people here to tell you yo just drop in a V8.
