3.1 wins car show

My '91 got voted top 21 at the car show today because of the work I've done to the 3.1. Had to share.

I did a few more changes since this thread and basically just removed some unnecissary emissions stuff. Total here's what I've done to the engine so far: personally ported and polished inside of intake and polished outside, pacesetter headers, dynomax catback exhaust, msd6a ignition, msd blaster coil, taylor 8.2mm wires, ford f1ze injectors, tpis adjustable fuel pressure regulator, 160° thermostat, comp cams magnum steel roller tip rocker arms, and I'm sure there's other things I'm forgetting. I don't have dyno numbers yet because I'm still working on a tune (ecm is pulling timing down to 21° at wot for unknown reasons) but I'm hoping to be at the 200rwhp range when it's narrowed down. Oh, I also do have a ram air box to go with the hood, I'm just waiting on the air filter so I can install it.

If you want 200hp at the wheels you're going to have to do some internal work. I don't think its going to be easy, if possible, to do that without working on the heads maybe bumping up the compression...unless you cheat and use NO2.

But either way, good job. How many cars were there?

Actually I had it on a dyno earlier but they didn't run it up to WOT because the AFR was 15:1 (2 points lean) and it was still showing 150rwhp on the dyno. After getting the adjustable regulator to correct that I was in the computer checking the fuel trim and saw it was pulling all kinds of timing out. Between those 2 considering how far out of spec they were I should be able to pick up the 50rwhp I need, we'll see.

I don't know exact number and I'm bad at guessing but I would say 70-80 cars??
