I'm gonna put on this smog pump because the inspection stations in my area are getting strict on emmission crap. So I decided to get a used pump to put on. I know the little hose goes to my fuel pressure regulator. The middle, if I'm not mistaken goes to the pipe coming from the exhaust manifold area. The large one is the one I can't find a location for. This pump came off a '87 2.8 V6. I gotta 3.1 V6 and I'm stumped. Any photos or ideas?

Re: Question on smog pump hose.
There is supposed to be a muffler on the end of the large hose. It dampens the sound of the pump when after the car is warmed up and the air injection is put into bypass mode. You'll need to find one to install or it will be load...and not good loud.

grimmics, you just have a slightly different dump valve. It's the same air pump though.
