Well, I finally got my Third Gen Firebird running again after a round of mods and some preventive maintenance. The previous combo netted me a best of a 12.20@113mph with a 1.75 60'. I had so many issues too(tuning, boost and exhaust leaks, lifting heads, 8* knock retard) ANyways, hopefully I have most of them ironed out!
I recently installed:
AlkyControl Single nozzle methanol injection kit
3 bar MAP sensor
RJC Power plate(air distribution plate for better burn)
Modified Duttweiler Intercooler neck(more cfm)
Walbro 340 in tank fuel pump(preventive maintenance)
TurboTweak Alky chip(23/21* timing @ 24-26psi boost)
Accel 42,000 volt coil pack(mine broke)
New SCE copper exhaust & turbo flange gaskets
SLP Line lock kit
Fel-pro intake gasket set
Felpro 9441HT Head gaskets(had N/A gaskets on before and was lifting heads)
new motor mounts
new delco starter
NGK UR6 plugs gapped @ .032"
re-wrapped the 3" downpipe
I removed the exhaust manifolds due to numerous cracks and warps on both sides. I machined the surfaces smooth and installed copper manifold gaskets as well as new turbo gasket. Every exhaust gasket on the car wasnt sealing, had 2 or three cracks in the stock 1987 manifolds(stainless steel).
This car has been a rollercoaster of a project, plenty of highs and plenty of lows. Hopefully, itll make it out to the dragstrip before the end of the season!! Hope ya'll like, I know I do!!!

i have a friend who works on gn's he gave up using gaskets,said they always blow out.

try coating them with copper seal, or u can try just coating the mating surfaces with antiseize

Looks similar to a guy around the corner to me.he has an 88 Iroc that came with 350.He had it modded like crazy and only got best of 12.20`s no matter what he did.Swapped to GN turbo v6 now it`s knocking down low 10`s consistantly.Got me thinkin about starting another project.Good luck.He has the intake ducts going down in front of the radiator like the stock Iroc but much larger.I`ll try to post some pics if you want.Best thing he says is its crazy streetable at almost 30 mpg highway and goes around town like a little v6 and kills prettymuch anything else atreetable.
