Will a 305 bolt in place of a 3.1?

After replacing two computers (luckily under warranty at Autozone) and three shorted fuel injectors my car has a terrible miss fire and low compression on cylinder number 5, i want to rebuild it but its my daily driver and cant have it off the road for a month, is there any way a 305 will just bolt in place and use the same bell housing as the 3.1? By the way ive got a 1991 Firebird with a 3.1l V6 and a 700r4 trans. (im not betraying the V6 just need a motor in the car for now.)

Nope, the bell housings are different between the SBC V8 and the 60-degree V6. I believe there is a sticky on the engine swap board here on TGO that covers what is required for a V6 to V8 swap.
