VECI Label 1986 Camaro 2.8l

I just picked up an 86 Camaro with a 2.8l auto. Problem - the car does not have the VECI label and I do not know the procedures for ignition timing and what the timing should be set to. Are the labels available aftermarket - GM says they don't have them anymore. Anybody out there wanna share info?

best bet is to pick up a chiltons or haynes repair manual. lots of useful information in the books.

Have a haynes manual but all it says is to refer to the VECI label. Still not sure about procedure......
