cant wait

Just wanted to know what everyone thought. Here is my new project. Its a 3.1 but I want to swap with a v8. I am not a trader but if I am going to replace the motor I might as well get what I want. I can't wait til its finished.

Re: cant wait

yeah the v6 runs, I want to do the swap but for now it is going to stay a 6. I need a windshield and one of those rims is bent and needs to be bent back out and I can take it on the road.

Re: cant wait

thats not bad at all. maybe you could just pick up some junkyard S10 or camaro rims for now. windshields shouldn't be too hard to find either. how much did you pay for it?

Re: cant wait

Great car, especially for the price!!

Why go through the trouble and expense of swapping it to a V8? You could fab up a turbo setup for about the same trouble, and still have better fuel economy.

idk, it depends what he can find cheap. I got my 3.1 for free so I'm turboing it, but I would have done a V8 swap if I had the engine to do it. should definitely keep a lookout for the expense of a turbo V6 setup Vs. V8 swap

It has been around our group of friends for about 15 yrs and it used to be bad a$$ but it has been sitting in my buddy's parents backyard for about three yrs and he just wanted to get it off his hands. I had always told him if he got rid of it I wanted it..... so he just gave it to me.
