No start 3.1l Please help!
Ok iv got a 92 RS with a 3.1l v6 i replaced the head gaskets and rebuilt it back up and i cant get to start. It tries to start but it just stumbles and dies iv replaced the coil, and all the injectors. I know im getting fuel and spark and in reason timing any suggestions would be greatly apprecaited. thanks

mmm fuel + spark + air mmmm u should be good ummm do u smell gas when u try to start it and does it try to turnover or is there a clicking sound and in most case that i had even with my timing way for the motor start just die a min later or ran like crap

what do you mean, "and in reason timing" because timing plays a big role. if you have starting fluid you could have someone try a VERY small amount through the throttle body to see if it fires.

Sounds like your probably out of time. Put the harmonic balancer on 0 and check to make sure your rotor button is pointed at #1 or 4 plug wire.If its on 4 try taking the distributor out and install it back in pointing at 1, If its pointed at 1 take it out and point it at 4. You could be a half a round out it will hit but not run.

could be timing... assuming you didn't mess with the base timing it all... checking the distributor is definitely sound advice. Have you replaced head gaskets before?
sure the heads/intake/plenum are all torqued correctly with the vacuum lines going to their respective places?
also make sure the fuel line wasn't pinched or bent while you were working on the heads... it's pretty easy to do... could also be a leak from corrosion in the lines...
