86 berlinetta v6 2.8

hey all trying im to get some help here been hunting posts all day what i need to do is replace all my vacuum lines I've got the diagram but while I'm at it i figured i would remove all my air conditioning stuff and just rip out my egr and cat to save myself a headache later on down the road clean all my sensors and get rid of the ones I will no longer need but the questions are anything special pretaining to removing all ac componanents what am i going to have to do to bypass the egr and cat and can I use rubber hosing for the vacume lines instead of the fragile plastic tubes im not looking for anyone to sit here and right me a book just point me into the right direction of threads because I cant seem o find anything relating to all these issues i might bypass the heater core too but i know how to do that just trying to get the car down to bassically just the engine so I can figure out all its little problem without having all this stuff in the way
thanks for your help nothing but good stuff on this site!
