Code 33 and code 34... sporadic.
So, sometimes I'll be driving around for days and have no codes. Other times, I'll drive around with a code for days.
When I check it, I have a 33 and 34 (car is 2.8 MPFI 1986) So, as I understand, I've got a 33 MAF code... and a 34 MAF code. My MAF has been replaced with a new one, that was months ago, and yet, I still get the codes sometimes. When I do have them, my car runs differently. I could floor the gas and there would be a much longer delay than usual for it to kick in, and if I let go of the gas any time, there is a delay for it to cut out. And when it does, you can really feel it just drop all of a sudden.
I have an Air/Fuel ratio gauge hooked up inside (No, I'm not running a turbo) and it also reads differently when I have the codes. It'll be completely lean when I'm on the gas, and stay in one spot. When I let go, it jumps to the opposite side, rich, and then goes back after a second.
If the code isn't showing and the car seems to be running fine, there is much more of a transition between the rich and lean, and it doesn't just stick in one spot or the other...
Any ideas/opinions are appreciated
