Re: somone should seriously jump on this

Id guess it would bolt right up and the pulley would be right in line for a 2.8-3.4 in a 3rd gen but what about the throtle body hook up and such?

You also lose your stock upper plenium right, no ill effects from that?

for the tb u would have to make ur own intake elbow for the back of the blower

and no ill effects the blower replaces the plenum

anyone here willing to mess with a supercharger could make the fuel injection work.

4.3 tbi setup comes to mind, im willing to bet u could ad din 6 injector bungs into the adapter plate and keep the port injection.

if i had the time, and another car id be all over this, for 100 bucks though somone here has to give this a shot, theres more then enough of us here to help somone who buys that get it up in running wether its carbed tbi or mpfi.

Re: somone should seriously jump on this

sale pending the details like if it will work.

I want it to be able to just bolt on, hook up the belt and go.

stock computer can deal with 5-7 psi of boost, maybe not the best but don't want to change much if anything.

If not I may still buy it and side mount it, if it wont work with the stock FI system in place.

Re: somone should seriously jump on this

gumby looking at the pics u wont be able to use the stock injector location.

u would have to add injectors into the adapter plate under the blower.shouldnt cost much for a welding shop to do, and u have to make ur own fuel rails would be about 50 bucks for the pair.

side mounting is also another option anyway u do it 100 bucks is cheap for the blower.
if u do decide to side mount it ill buy the adapter off ya if ur not gonan do anything with it

Re: somone should seriously jump on this

Hmmm looking is it just a space issue around the blower?

What if I added even more spacer to raise it up 3-4 inches to clear all the stock FI stuff?

Forget beign able to shut the hood for now
Thats a small detail.

that wont work stock injector location points the tops of the injectors twards the middle,

easiest solution is to add injector bungs to the sides of the spacres so the injectors point down the ports.

if u do get it and get me better pics of it i can draw u up a diagram or something on just how to do it.

even if u had to pay a shop to do it it would be cheap to do, and if u can weld aluminum urself u would spend a few hours converting that setup to a mpfi setup

Re: somone should seriously jump on this

killert the tb adapter is the easy part, well both parts are easy, but the tb is very simple

if that were converted to a mpfi setup i would recomend using a tpi tb and not the stock v6 one, v6 one would work but would hurt performance

Re: somone should seriously jump on this

so to not mess with any FI stuff id have to keep atlest half of the middle plenium or side mount.

cut two middle in half and weld together for the double flange.

Mount the whole thing on top of the top stock plenium.
high rise ram effect?
Blower sticking out of the hood / rice intimidator?

I got a whole spare 3 piece intake setup, ill have to look at it.

maybe some way to just shrink the whole intake assembly with out anymore radical bends or turns then stock, but keep as much of the middle as needed to keep factory FI setup as is.

Re: somone should seriously jump on this

gumby if u left the stock middle intake section and then built a new adapter u could leave the stock fi system alone, the adpater that he has will not work with the stock fi system

the blower would prolly be out of the hood 3 inches or so though a harwood 3 inch cowl hood would prolly cover it

Re: somone should seriously jump on this

pic added, wish I had one from behind with all the junk in there to see how much room the FI stuff takes up.

But no way to get a good shot of that from the front on my car.

Re: somone should seriously jump on this

Leaning heavy towards side mounting now.

Gonna be so much easier after thinking about it.

will it last longer without direct contact with the engine???

What about not being washed in gas often, all gas has some lube.
spray some MMO in there ever so often?

Have to desing up a new air filter system as I have never had but a single piece of 1/8in foam from one of them diamond edelbrock 1000cfm air cleaners and the MAF screen to block junk. But we have clean air around here, not sandy or gritty.

I am sure I should filter a bit better but how to get enough area; maybe get one of them sealed cones so I can keep my ram air setup intalled. The filter needs enclosed or sealed off so it only get clean fresh air from my hood scoops.

Re: somone should seriously jump on this

Looks like Im buying this again, no one else took it after me?

Its now an easier way out as I do not want to have to change that lower intake, oil n coolant, gaskets blaaa. He has the intake to make it use a holley 500 2bb.

Im thinking for real quick I could just use the adapter and mount a flate plate on top for a carb and go.
