broken line ???
ok so ive been having some issues with my 86 2.8 so to day i pulled the top half of my engine apart and noticed that one of the lines that lead to the back of the throttle body ive looked for a hour now and cant find where that line comes form and of course cant find my manual. so can any one help me out if there is even a line that goes into the thicker side of that rubber plug

Re: broken line ???
yea i think it never had one now i finally got a check engine light code 45 claims its rich exhaust. meaning fuel in charcoal canister, malfunctioning fuel injector, high fuel pressure defective TPS, MAP, or o2 sensor. so i dont know where to begin

There's 2 holes in the vacuum block... is it supposed to be in the outer one or the inner one? IIRC, the inner one is ported vacuum and the outer one is manifold (full-time, non throttle dependant) vacuum. Might be backwards, though. The ported one runs the charcoal can and the EGR, and the manifold one is primarily for the fuel pressure regulator.
First, you don't have a MAP... Your car isn't carbureted or TB injected, it's got a MAF. Second, pull your plugs and see which ones aren't gray or tan, which will probably be dark sooty black. That's a good starting point. Your EGR could also be stuck.
:edit: Seems as though that broken hose is the one for the FPR... Might want to fix that to get your fuel pressure back down to 39 PSI where it belongs. Right now, if the hose is broken, the pressure is 43 PSI, and the ECM is used to the lower pressure, causing the engine to run rich based on learned calibration.

I'm still voting that the vac line running to the FPR is the one that broke and that's why he's running rich.
