ok so my fan stopped working and i just spent two hours trying to find some sort of schematic or diagram to help me trace out my problem

the ****ing Haynes book i have goes from the 2.8 to 5.0 and skips the ****ing 3.1 so none of the colors on any of the wires match

WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


Can one of you please help me locate the relay and or switch and tell me what if anything else i need to check

 

My Haynes is from '93 and it has the 3.1 in it and the relay wire colors are brown or tan/white , red , dark green/white , and black/red . And IIRC the relay is by the brake booster . Forgot to tell you to go to your diagnostic port and do like you would to get the codes and see if your fan comes on .

How do I know what 1 it is?????


I'm really hoping it's just a bad relay.................

 

Check for the wire colors I gave you in my first post .

 

on my 91 the fan relay is the middle one of the three if that helps any
