Is an AC delete pulley worth it if my AC doesn't even work and I never have it on anyway? If the compressor never actually catches and the pulley on it is just spinning free, is the delete pulley actually freeing up any power?

 

good question.. anyone got an answer.. and where can i get an ac delete pulley for an 85 iroc.. cause if u take the ac pulley off u cant use the pulley tensioner..

 

It makes absolutely no difference in power. The a/c pulley takes no power to spin, and the compressor doesn't weigh enough to slow your car down. The only reason anyone would ever remove it is to have more room under hood and make their car worth less $$.

 

The V8 delete pulley will work. I found mine on ebay for $20 shipped.
Its only worth removing if you don't live in a hot area, and are going to remove the entire ac system. Then the weight savings is nice.

 

yea the iroc has noooo ac anymore its got a nice polished diamond plat firewall cover now and ill look for that ac delete pulley on ebay thanks

 

do you or jensen have the mounting bracket for tpi on 081 heads? i am looking for one for my 90 camaro as i am switching to to 081 heads and tpi from swirl prot and tbi?
