2.8L Start Trouble
Don't know if this is in the right category but I need some help. My mom has an '84 Jimmy (same engine as the Berlinetta Camaro, so that's why I came here). It won't start in the extreme heat or moderate cold, and after she drives it for awhile and turns if off it won't start.
Does this have something to do with fuel, the carb, a ground? I have no idea about these engines, I'm typically a fuel injection engine person. Please help!

Re: 2.8L Start Trouble
Not sure, I'm pretty sure it does. It did this during the summer as well, it wouldn't crank or make any noise but we could push-start it. I thought it might have been the starter, but not sure now...
It hasn't had a tune up in about 8 years (we couldn't afford one and I was a kid). I'm planning on using it as my project car in college (autobody and mechanics) so I'll probably have to rebuild it anyway.
