so i took my dizzy out and had the module tested. it was bad. went to autozone and they said they had a new dizzy in stock. haha. they checked the box when i got there and it was the wrong dizzy in the box. (return) imagine that. module was under warrenty so i got a new module for free. installed it reset the timing every thing i needed to do.
ended up crushing the wire for the pickup coil w/ the cap..

needless to say im waiting on a new dizzy on order for my daily driver. boo.

Re: bad ignition module
Why not replace the pickup coil . All you have to do is pull the dist. , knock the rollpin out of the drive gear , and then pull the shaft and then the pickup . Then you just reverse the removal process and your done . If you know what you are doing it can be done in 30 min or less . Not to mention cheaper than replaceing the dist .
