that fbody is not going to help u hook i can spenn dot s all day long and slicks 3.4 v6 na two stage nx pizza box bult 700r4 fully ported heads 2.8 in take box cam 1.6 rockers i think its on of the badist na 60* v6 or is the badist in that class obtw it runs 12.51 on a cold night

 

So it runs pretty good with the 2.8 intake? Guess a 12.51 explains it all...haha.

mines pretty loud, my neigbors love it when i turn my car on at 4 in the morning to let it warm up. my cars a little to loud for only "fake" flowmasters and a 2.8

 

my 91 RS stock 3.1 midas muffler sounds not too bad
although compared to my 5.7 TPI the 3.1 sounds like it
is as they say 'farting bees' still way better than rice

Here's a video of my exhaust. Has holes near the cat, and holes near the muffler. Fuel pump was failing, so was running very lean.

 

For now perhaps My goal is to take my 2.8 to the limit...

N/A is Naturally Aspirated, not "two stage nx". And trust me, mine will hook

 

92camarorv6 what do you run without the nitrous?

 

considering it probably makes about 140 WHP, weighs in at 3200 lbs i'd say a 16-16.5

It would take about a 200 shot of nitrous to put that combo into the mid 12's.

 

Just guessing that I probably still hold the fastest 1/4 mile et for a true n/a 60* v6 in a 3rd gen @ 14.97 @ 89.95mph

But I bet I can run something pretty close to that once my hybrid swap is done, if not I'm sure I could with a few more mods.

I don't know if mine will hit the track this year or not, and if it does there will be a lot of bugs to work out. I don't expect to start laying down serious times until 2011. I'll need to find a posi rear and tune the 4L60E, also start over from scratch on my engine tune.


I still hold the record for the fastest N/A 60 degree Jbody at 13.07 @ 107 mph.

 

What setup and power output/tq levels was that with? Once I finish my build I'm going to race a friend's mustang GT,(2003 I think) and I need to at least get 15s or 14s to stand a chance...13s I'm pretty sure I would win. But Idk how much power that takes =/

between 2700 and 2800 lbs with driver, 275 WHP, about 260 WTQ, 5 speed trans, Mickey Thompson ET/Drag slicks. My 60' times were always weak because i could never hook up, usually around 1.9.

 

Whats up entrig ? Yeah this link has alot of cars muffler sounds on it and one is mine . On another note I noticed some people posting 0-60 times and I wanted to add mine . Uphill 0-60 in 10sec .

You only add 100 lbs? :P Even if I dropped 15 lbs(enough to make me considered skinny) I'd still weigh like 150 lbs =/

lol, yah.. i add about 190 lbs on an average day. I did strip out the interior which saved an easy 80-100 lbs.


At the end i was shaving 10 lbs here and there by switching around wheels and removing everything i could. Might weigh it this summer when i put it back together. Gotta do the same to the Camaro after i get the boat anchor out of it too.

 

I shaved off like maybe a lb by removing my sagging headliner :P
Now the Ac delete and heads though should lose me about 100 lbs, and I plan on getting a fiberglass hood to drop another 50, I need a new hood anyways, mines got some fairly bad rust at the front =/
Kind of random, but anyone know how easy/doable making the louvers on an IROC-Z fiberglass hood functional is?
