Am I wasting the car?
Hello guys,
I've recently acquired pretty much every part needed to do the v8 swap (donor car), but haven't done it yet...instead I get this feeling that I am wasting the 2.8l...it only has 80,000 original miles and runs so well....
Anyone been in this situation before? What did you do?
Should I just pull it and drop in the 350? Because I don't think I will get anything for the 2.8 in case I decide to sell it, regardless of the low mileage...
Thanks

Put the old 2.8 on Craigslist for what you think it's worth and you'll probably get it. I sold a 2.3L Ford with extras for $500. I've bought/sold a couple 3.1's for $150-200. Just don't price it too high, and get ready to list it 6 or 7 times before it sells. If you just want it gone price it lower.
You wouldn't have bothered obtaining a donor car if you didn't want the V8. There's no reason to hold back now.

Nothing but a pooch v-6 automatic car, you're not wasting much that's worth keeping forever and ever.....
