Project maro finally being revived

Finally getting close to finishing my engine, have almost every single part I need for rebuild, new delta 260 grind cam, new lifters, comp cams double roller timing chain and gears, MSD ignition coil, MSD cap and rotor, Taylor spark plug wires, K&N air filters, valvoline oil and new filter, new fuel filter(already in car), new V-belts and AC system removed, new 170* thermostat, felpro head, intake, and timing cover gasket sets, new PCV valve, valve covers being switched to breather filters(I'm deleting the tube that goes from the PCV valve to intake, and the tube that goes from the other valve cover to intake), fresh antifreeze, new door hinge pins, new wheel stud(one of them is broken), 1.6 roller fulcrum rockers from a set of 3400 heads, 3400 throttlebody modified for flow and polished. Heads and intake getting ported.
Stripping the paint and primer from valve covers, polishing, then painting a metalic purple, going to do the same with intake manifolds. Tomorrow I'm going to repair whatever rust I can with rust converter. Going to clean the engine some more as well now that I have some engine cleaner, and going to put rust converter on some of the underhood stuff if I can reach any of the trouble spots.

Thursday, cam, lifters, and $600 of exhaust. What all did you plan to do with the intakes in terms of cleaning them? Were you going to just bead blast them I'm guessing?

Ah, well you do have a bead blaster right? I'm sanding the valve covers but its slow going and way more elbow grease than I'd like, lol. It's amazing how much time you can spend on just little details....but at least this time I was able to find the color I actually wanted, I hope...We'll see how they turn out..

Re: Project maro finally being revived

Gotta love summit racing, ordered $600 worth of exhaust yesterday afternoon and it got here today......cat converter came in on my way to work, i left a note in case the rest came, and came home to sure enough, the rest of it. Pictures of the new exhaust to come when I get ready to install it.
